Dr Nandini Singh
Eye specialist and surgeon
Dr Nandini Singh is a fellowship trained Medical Retina Specialist and General Ophthalmologist. Her interests include cataract surgery, and conditions affecting the retina (such as diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions, and age-related macular degeneration).
Dr Singh undertook her early medical training in Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital. During this time, she also completed a Masters in Medicine (Ophthalmic Science) at the University of Sydney. She then undertook her specialist Ophthalmology training via Sydney Eye Hospital. This allowed her the opportunity to be trained by world experts within their respective fields. Through this training, she was able to gain exposure in a variety of settings – including working in Sydney’s busy trauma centres, Darwin, Canberra, and Wagga Wagga. Dr Singh completed her sub-speciality training at the prestigious Medical Retina Fellowship at The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, after which she chose to settle in Melbourne.
Dr Singh grew up in regional NSW. As such, she brings a unique perspective to the delivery of eye care. She is mindful of the importance of a patient-centred approach, ensuring her patients have a thorough understanding of their diagnosis and management plan.
In her free time, Dr Singh loves to travel and explore the world with her husband. She also enjoys cooking and learning new cuisines.
